The Fashion Show

The Annual Rally Foundation Rally On the Runway fashion show is nothing short of epic! Hosted by honorary chair member, Vic Beasley and NFL teammates from the Atlanta Falcons, the room is always filled with so much positive energy. The MHPR team was on site to make sure that the show went off without a hitch. With Layla k. as stage/production manager, the athletes, rocked the runway with “Rally Kids,” who have fought cancer or are currently fighting cancer. We began working with Rally in 2017 and will be managing the program and fashion show production for another year in 2022. This year is extra special because we’ve had to cancel the last two years due to COVID.

Day of Pampering

Every year Asbury Automotive Group and members of the Nalley team cheer on as brave “cancer-fighting” girls walk the red carpet into a “Day of Pampering,” compliments of Bloomingdale’s. As preparation for one of Rally’s large fundraising events, Rally on the Runway, the charity provides this opportunity to several children who have been impacted by cancer.

In support of the foundation, each girl is chauffeured to the event in a Bentley (provided by Bentley Atlanta) and stepped out to an energetic and endearing crowd of photographers and paparazzi, which included Asbury staff members. What a wonderful way to spend a Saturday. They roll out the red carpet and they let the girls roll up in style! Upon arrival to Bloomingdale’s, each girl was treated to a personal hair, makeup, and clothing consult and received gifts made with love. They even received the opportunity to practice their runway walks in the store, alongside family and Nalley staff. The MHPR team has participated for three years in a row!

Global Fashion Initiative, a Nonprofit in Support of Teen Girls’ Empowerment

The Global Fashion Initiative, Inc is a nonprofit organization founded in 2013 by Layla k., which supports the empowerment of women and teen girls. Layla teaches from her curriculum Passport to Purposeful Living (which is inspired by her Passport to Fashion event) and has worked alongside Tomorrow’s Luminaries Foundation, Georgia Tech, KIPP Strive Academy, and the Boys & Girls Club to educate, uplift and empower young girls in the community.

GFI covers body image, the impact beauty standards in the media, anger management, boundaries, boys, health, peer pressure, bullying and more. We also facilitate clothing drives, field trips and engage the girls in various service-related initiatives.

Tomorrow’s Luminaries Charity Polo Match

For well over ten years, the Tomorrow’s Luminaries Foundation has presented their Annual Charity Polo Match event. Our team produced a fashion presentation for several years which was dubbed, “Alice in DERBY-Land” by Layla k. Attendees also experienced a riveting polo match, live music, wine, a decadent culinary experience, a grand dessert, and champagne bar along with a luxury car display. 100% of proceeds from the event go directly towards the Foundation’s programs to help brighten the future of Atlanta’s young people through much-needed academic programming and services.

Our team served food, fashion, and charity on a luxury platter, hunty!

Fashion Feed was a high-energy charity fundraising event that took place on Thursday, March 21st, 2013 in Woodbury, New Jersey. Under the artistic direction of Layla k. (on behalf of our event partner, The Celebrity Agency), guests enjoyed complimentary wine in the on-site wine cellar, hors d’oeuvres, a fabulous dinner, and an exclusive fashion presentation featuring gorgeous collections from local boutiques and couture designer, Jacinta Ligon. Celebrity appearances include event host, Hollis Thomas of SportsRadio 94WIP and guest models, Julie Dorenbos & Susie Celek (Skin Palette/NFL Wives), Jon Dorenbos (Philadelphia Eagles), Raheem Brock (SuperBowl Champ/Seattle Seahawks), Mike Mamula (Retired/Philadelphia Eagles), Dan Raudabaugh & Tiger Jones (Philadelphia Soul)

Proceeds from the event and charity auction benefited the WIPE-OUT Hunger Foundation’s cause to assist local food outreach centers. The evening wrapped with the Hunger Hero Awards, which recognized leaders in the community that also assist those in need. Recipients included Kim Furtunato, Executive Director of the Campbell’s Soup Foundation and Dale B. D. Dunning, President of Jusst Sooup Ministry, The Barkann Foundation, and JBJ Soul Kitchen.

Celebrity DJ Vito G was the music curator for the evening as the event stimulated the fashion tastebuds of guests as they mixed and mingled with the tri-state’s most prominent socialites, popular athletes, and fashion elite.
